Advertising Content 

Advertisements must be substantially related to the mission of Princeton Community Ed. The Community Ed Department will review and approve or reject ads for compliance to ISD 477 policies and fit within the vision of the Princeton Community Ed Catalog.

Advertisements from organizations, programs, or services that conflict or compete with District activities, programs, or services will not be accepted. Ads of the following nature will not be accepted: travel companies*, credit card companies, insurance agencies, and alcohol or tobacco products. Ads may be denied if an organization has an overdue account payable to ISD 477.

*Travel content is only allowed in direct relation to the Community Ed mission of fostering learning and lifelong connections and opportunities for all ages. Ex: Group Adult Day Trip or Adults with Disabilities programs in conjunction with Community Ed.

Advertising that recommends, describes, or announces the availability of any product or service for-profit is not allowed unless in direct relation to the Community Ed mission. Examples of for-profit entity advertisements allowed:

• Services that benefit or support ISD 477 such as teacher substitutes or bus drivers

• Classes/programs that compliment Community Ed programming to offer lifelong learning and experiences

• A for-profit entity may advertise support for a Community Ed program. Ex: Home improvement company ABC cannot advertise for new siding installation. However, they may run an advertisement that says, “ ABC Company is a proud sponsor of Princeton Community Ed Jr. Tiger Soccer” that includes a company logo. Be aware that tag lines such as “your hometown source for all home improvement needs” would not be allowed.

• Non-profit organizations are eligible for a discounted rate on 1/4 and 1/2 page print ads and may advertise not-for-profit products/services. Not to be combined with additional discounts.
• A 15% discount is available for running an ad in 3 consecutive catalogs (one year - fall, winter/spring, and summer). Payment in full for all three issues is due at the time of placing the first ad.
• Advertisement deadlines with full payment due are February 28, June 30, and October 31.
• Catalog drop dates are within the first two weeks of April, August, and December.
• Ads are placed throughout the catalog and placement is determined by Community Ed staff.
• A 5/8" solid color banner will be added to the top of all advertisements that says, " PAID ADVERTISEMENT".
• Ads may be enclosed in a border if one is not already a part of the ad. And an advertisement designation will be applied.
• Ads may not include a registration form or cut-out coupon.
• The placement/location of ads within the publication is at the discretion of the Community Ed Department.

Formats and Submitting an Advertisement

CUSTOMER PROVIDED ADS
Please submit your file to us in JPEG or PNG format. The file must be the exact size stated above. We are not able to rotate the ad or swap width for height or vise versa. If it is not the exact size stated above, there might be distortion that we cannot be responsible for.

WE PREPARE LAYOUT
If you are having Community Education prepare the layout of your ad, send pictures and logos in PNG or JPEG format and email the content to us. Community Ed designed ads include up to two revisions.

Distribution

Our catalog is distributed to 18,000+ households in the Princeton, Zimmerman, Dalbo, and Santiago areas. Several hundred office copies are also printed and handed out to those not in our immediate community. There are also 13 catalog racks distributed around the community at businesses adding an additional 400+ copies to over 100 local businesses. Advertisers are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until the predetermined number of advertisement slots are sold. The catalog will not be enlarged nor will the educational offerings be jeopardized in any way because of the advertisements.
